Social Network Analysis (SNA) in Telecom eTOM

In fact there is such of gap between formal organization’s structure and what really happen between process owners in telecom eTOM business process dealing with utilized knowledge to execute expected process outcomes. To identify this gap we can use Social Network Analysis that match with eTOM’s level of processes. We can integrate SNA data capturing to eTOM 4th and 5th level of eTOM by using Action After Review (AAR) in recorded certain activities when outcome’s deviation happened. Actor of activity can store questions of required knowledge to Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Knowledge Yellow Page that can be viewed as SNA report to analyze and identify what really happen and knowledge’s gap and critical issues in certain current monitored core stream processes. Finally we can cover current core problems create suggestion with monitoring improved workflow’s result qualitative and quantitatively for achieving Telecom Knowledge Based Enterprise TKBE’s goals.

Todays SNA Approach become the third generation of Knowledge Management that should be integrated with previous generation such of Knowledge Repository and Communities of Practice (CoPs) in proper Relationship Management dealing with the enterprise as an open system. At least four components that should be managed such of Employees, Organization, Customer and Social Capital. The essential thing is how we can create value for all this domain in social interaction based on knowledge value chain creation from data, information, knowledge and wisdom implementation. How we can put all things that have strong relationship create benefit to on object that promote to be outcome in implementation KM model. The winner is the best value creator that will be appreciated with largest valuable outcomes.
